Using of Eco-friendly fertilizers is a long-term agricultural strategy that incorporates the use of bio-fertilizers to boost soil nutrient content and yield. Soil micro flora has been studied in order to improve soil fertility and biomass productivity, and it has been recognized as a suitable environmentally acceptable bio-based fertiliser for pollution-free agricultural applications. The majority of cyanobacteria can fix nitrogen from the atmosphere, and certain species, such as Anabaena sp., Nostoc sp., and Oscillatoria angustissima, have been identified as excellent cyanobacterial-based bio fertilisers. Some of the green microalgae and cyanobacteria species that have been effectively employed as bio fertilisers to stimulate crop growth include Acutodesmus dimorphus, Spirulina platensis, Chlorella vulgaris, Scenedesmus dimorphus, Anabaena azolla, and Nostoc sp.. Chlorella vulgaris is also one of the most widely used microalgae. This paper outlines a practical method for increasing soil fertility utilizing an environmentally friendly bio-based fertilizer made from micro algae as a means of achieving a sustainable development. Instead of using inorganic and organic fertilizers, which have polluting effects on soil, such as heavy metal aggregation, as well as human carcinogenic effects? Key Words: Soil Fertility, Microalgae and Sustainable development.
